Gilmore Foundation is a private, independent foundation which carries on Mr. Gilmore’s philanthropy.

Mission

The geographical areas of particular emphasis shall be the San Francisco Bay Area and Portland, Oregon.

Application Procedure
updated July 30, 2010

The trustees of the foundation meet twice a year, in June and December. Most of the grants are made at these meetings. The trustees prefer to receive concise applications from grantees. We will accept a grant application submitted by email or by mail as long as it is postmarked on or before Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010.

Email Submissions
The Foundation strongly encourages the submission of proposals and attachments by email. For those submitting by email, the proposal and required attachments should be emailed in PDF format only. The foundation prefers to receive one pdf file that includes all proposal requirements. However, if you plan to include audited financial statements, please do so as a separate pdf attachment.

Please send your proposal to Maereg Haile at mhaile@pfs-llc.net.

If you do not receive an email response within 2-3 business days confirming that your proposal has been received, please contact Maereg at (415) 561-6540 x 201.

Please do not submit a paper copy of your proposal if you have submitted by email.
