With her passion for the environment, Annie’s role as executive director of the Bella Vista Foundation is particularly resonant: she supports grantees’ restoration of streams and forests in remote watersheds and leads board members on trips to these incredible locations to see the results. Annie is also senior program officer for the GGS Foundation, which works to support literacy, workplace skills training, and health and wellness education to underserved youth in San Francisco and Marin counties.
Annie joined PFS in 2005 and was previously with the US Environmental Protection Agency in San Francisco, overseeing grants to states and tribes in the pesticides program. In her time as a lawyer, she covered environmental compliance and did pro bono work for the International Committee of Lawyers for Tibet.
Annie earned a JD from the University of California, Berkeley, and graduated magna cum laude with a BA in East Asian studies from Princeton University. Lured frequently to Mt. Tam and the Sierras, she lives in Marin County with her family and is a skier, cyclist, and tennis player.
