Cedrick Andrews

Cedrick appreciates that his role allows him to help clients translate their philanthropic vision into a pragmatic grantmaking practice and to work with various social sector organizations as they strive to make an impact.
Cedrick joined PFS in 2016 with broad experience in education and economic security. He was formerly associate director at Single Stop, which operates a technology platform to coordinate access to social services. As program director for Meritus, he led a team that provided first-generation college students with scholarships, mentors, and career support, and co-chaired a network of Bay Area youth development organizations. At the Institute for College Access & Success (TICAS), he worked on financial aid and student loan policy reform and as a consultant to the Ford Foundation for a portfolio of grantees under a national initiative to promote pluralism and academic freedom on college campuses.
Cedrick received his MA in policy, organization, and leadership studies from Stanford University and his BA in philosophy from Vanderbilt University. Originally from Alabama, he has lived in the Bay Area since 2007 and enjoys cycling, yoga, hiking, and exploring the restaurant scene.
