Sahar Petri

Sahar joined PFS in 2021 as a Grants Manager, where she serves as the bridge between client foundations and the nonprofit community. She is passionate about the greater conversations around the roles effective philanthropy can play in helping facilitate the distribution of resources to those with the most need, especially in her home community of the Bay Area.

Prior to joining PFS, Sahar was the Grants Project Manager at HTA Consulting where she worked with nonprofits, public agencies, and educational institutions to manage proposals for complex state, federal and foundation grants. Sahar has also held previous roles focused on Corporate Social Responsibility, volunteer engagement and event strategy.

Sahar is originally from Oregon and graduated from University of Oregon with a BA in Business Administration. Sahar lives in Oakland and in her free time enjoys exploring all the food and nature the East Bay has to offer.

In her role at PFS, Sahar currently supports the work of the Crankstart Foundation, a San Francisco-based family foundation that works with others on critical issues concerning economic mobility, education, democracy, housing security, the environment and medical science & innovation.
